Caption For Artwork (Description About Artwork): Madhubani art (originally Mithila art) is a style of painting practiced in the Mithila region of India and Nepal. It is named after the Madhubani district of Bihar, India, which is where it originated. The art was traditionally practiced by female members of Brahman and Kayastha castes. In this painting I have made a lady holding a flute. She has wored a traditional dress and jewelleries. I have painted the background blue for a vibrant touch of tradition. I have also made birds and plants in the background for a beautiful natural look.
