Caption For Artwork (Description About Artwork): This piece reflects the journey of transformation on which we are all on, and it is extremely personal to me. The butterfly, being both delicate and powerful, represents the process of change we go through, whether it is because of self-discovery, struggle, or growth. With flowers and complex components from nature, each wing tells a unique story that represents the fragility and strength of life. The intentional contrast of the black and white colors represents the duality of life and the good and bad times which shape us into the people we are today. The butterfly's delicate wings, with each fine line and detail bearing the weight of those fleeting moments, serve as a constant reminder that beauty may be found in the complexities, even in uncertain or changing times. The background crescent moon alludes to cycles—of beginnings, endings, and transitional states.
